Need answers and don’t know where to turn? Help is available through 2-1-1 Maryland. 2-11 is a hotline providing free, confidential help in 150 languages. 2-1-1 Maryland connects Marylanders in need of assistance to the health and human services they need to achieve a more stable life for themselves and their families. 2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that gives Marylanders access to information about resources and services they need to thrive, including information about shelter, food, and free mental health services. A trusted and caring call specialist is there for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In fiscal year 2015, 2-1-1 Maryland at United Way of Central Maryland answered more than 103,000 calls around food, housing, health care, utility assistance and more.

Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness—and their family members, friends and supporters—can make the call to or chat online with the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans, where trained counselors are ready to talk confidentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Baltimore Crisis Response offers a crisis and information referral hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week assisting people in crisis with emotional health and well-being services.
Health Care
Health Care for the Homeless partners with caregivers, advocates, donors and our unhoused neighbors to provide comprehensive health care services and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness. The agency applies a whole-person approach to care and take into account all aspects of life and health in an individual’s treatment. Call 410-837-5533 to be connected to services.

If you are currently experiencing homelessness and are unsheltered, please contact any of the agencies designated as a Coordinated Access Navigator Site to learn more about RRH.
